Take part in clubs not linked to sport

Work collaboratively with other children

We use several key tools around school and in the classroom to help teach and develop core values and skills, along a pupil's Learning Journey at Holcombe Brook. 'Learning Waymarks' shown here are specific items from these tools that are relevant to the content, or activity being reported. We add this information with the hope of strengthening these values and accelerating pupil development, both in the classroom and at home. This term the children in year 4/5 and year 5 are taking part in ‘Lego WeDo’  programming sessions with Mr Hawken of Junior Stem. In the first lesson they learnt how to write their own simple algorithms and they had lots of fun! Many of the children also attended an after school club.

  2. STEM is what the future is all about! If you try hard and learn science and maths you will have a brighter future yourself and help yourself and your community to prosper.
