Reception class have been learning how to make simple animations this term. This involved lots of different basic ICT skills like how to take a photograph using an iPad and then how to use an app. They picked up these skills very well and have started to use them independently.
Grand Canyon have loved the opportunity to talk about the books they love this week, using our new Twitter-style book review wall. Children who have written book reviews also take the spotlight in our "Ask the Bookworm" seat , where the class fire questions at them, testing their knowledge and discovering exactly why they love that book.

This term the children in year 4/5 and year 5 are taking part in 'Lego WeDo' programming sessions with Mr Hawken of Junior Stem. In the first lesson they learnt how to write their own simple algorithms and they had lots of fun! Many of the children also attended an after school club.
