10th July 2025Golden Gate class travelled to the Burrs and covered various aspects of the curriculum linked to History, PE, Geography and PSHE: Orienteering, River Study, Industrial Revolution and general teamwork/collaboration. 25th June 2023On Friday, our year 5/6 children went for a short ramble down to the river banking in Summerseat. They behaved superbly and enjoyed studying the river to reinforce key terminology such as erosion, deposition, mouth, source etc. The created some lovely art pieces within their sketch books too and enjoyed some fun activities on the local park too.

22nd September 2022On Tuesday morning, our class conducted a local area study with a focus on searching for the following key features: industrial, residential, commercial, recreational and educational. 19th November 2019Today we went to the woods. They children had a fabulous time planting their own trees! After look at the affects of deforestation, the children learnt how to prun and replant trees.

10th November 2019The children had a fantastic time at the woods. They learnt all about the layers of the rainforest in a practical and fun way. They also had roasted brioche and hot chocolate by the fire.
