20 boys and girls from year 5 and 6 put themselves forward to take part in the first cross country event of the term. It took place at the Derby High School this evening and all the children gave it everything they had. 120 girls were running and 160 boys. It was a pleasure to see the children cheering each other on and supporting one another after they had crossed the finishing line following a gruelling 2km across muddy fields. 

Well done to all the children and a massive thank you to Mrs. Lynchey, Mrs. Jackson and all the parents that helped transport to and from the event.
